Most of you might laugh at my favorite find this week. And, that is alright. I don’t mind. At least I have you laughing. My favorite find is somewhat odd, it really is. But, when I read this I was all about going out and buying some for my house.
This week, my favorite find is an onion, or two, or three. See, I read a post from my dear, sweet friend Kay who is the creator at Love, Home and Health. She has an at home remedy for everything! And, this week I learned that onions help prevent the flu. And, with flu season fast approaching what better time to make sure we have onions in the house. Here is also another article about onions helping to prevent the flu that she has written which gives different information.
Now, for all you NON onion eating people – don’t stop reading yet! You don’t have to eat an onion a day to keep the flu virus away. Nope, not at all. Though, it wouldn’t hurt if you eat Kiwi to help aid in the prevention and take some Vitamin D. As for the onions, all you need to do is have the onion sitting on your counters. Skeptical yet? Well, read this post about onions, maybe that will help change your mind. If you are still a little unsure why not at least give it a try. I went and bought a bag of onions for $1.50 the other day, so it is cheaper than having to go to the doctor’s office.
We are very fortunate in our home that none of us get sick that often. But, I am going to give this a try just to be on the safe side. My mother in law lives with us and has Alzheimer’s disease. She will definitely be seeing some onions in her area of the house this flu season.
I am so very glad I came across this article when I did. It gave me time to go buy some onions and to share with you the news I learned. I do hope you will take the time to read the two articles and stay healthy this flu season.
